Round timer

I made a round timer cd that I thought you lot might find useful for training.

Basically, you decide what kind of round time / break you want (based on track number) then stick the player on single track repeat. It's just 3 beeps to signify start, then silence, 1 beep to signify 30s left, more silence, 3 beeps to signify round end, then a break at the end. Once it loops, you'll get exact round + break times.

Track 1) 2 minute round with 30 second break
Track 2) 2 minute round with 1 minute break
Track 3) 3 minute round with 30 second break
Track 4) 3 minute round with 1 minute break

I can add other round / break times if people want them.

If you want it, here's what you need to do: Download this zip file. It contains 4 audio tracks which you burn to an audio cd. If you need it, you can get a free cd burning program here. If you need something to unzip the zip file, this works well and is free.

If you have trouble with the burning, shout on here and I'll do my best to help out.

    sounds like a good idea

5 min rounds with 30 seconds
5 min rounds with 1 min

    would be real good too..

Will do. I'll see if there are any other requests then make a final version.

If these tracks are easy to compile could you make increments for 4,6,7,8 and 9 minutes?

I've uploaded the one with 5 minute rounds. I'll edit the first post now. edit: I can't edit the first post. The time has lapsed. Colm (or one of the smods), can you just add this:
Track 5) 5 minute round with 30 second break
Track 6) 5 minute round with 1 minute break

Colm: It's no effort now that I've got the initial bit done. About 10 minutes to do all of that BUT space is limited by time on CD's. Not sure that would all fit on one. I'll give it a lash tomorrow and let you know. One way or the other, I'll stick them in the zip file. You can just choose which ones you burn.

They would make TINY mp3's though (the silence would compress down to almost nothing). If you have a cd player capable of playing mp3's, just mp3 them (or I can do it for you) and burn them directly. Definitely no space issue there.
