I was going to put this in the Harry Potter forum, but I have a fear of being hunted down by an angry mob with sticks the think our magic and heavy ass books.

    This is from the bbc

Are children that gullible that they will need counselling after a book? Haven't people being dying in books since they started? And are parents that bad that the can't deal with the kids, and instead they need to ring childline. Come on its a book.

Oh and anyone who doesn't want spoilers this thread will probably end up containing them so just dont read. Don’t want mods giving out to me

I await the probable not another potter thread replies, and so forth.

OP Edit your post and put "Possible spoilers" in title so HP fans knows.
But with all the trolling lately I'm sure they'll stay away anyway.

I was traumatised when I saw the Transformers movie. No childline for me, I just soldiered on. Dark days....dark days.

I don't care if your a child or not- but calling Childline because a boy band breaks up or a character in a book dies is pretty bad. It seems to highlight people's dependancy on immaterial things. They should be getting emotional support from their family. They should be strong enough not to need it.

A whole bunch of transformers get gunned down in the opening battle (noteable casualties include Jazz, Prowl, Ironhide), and then Megatron kills Optimus Prime. Then later, he kills Starscream. They just went wild in that movie.

P.S.: In case it's not clear, I mean the animated movie from when I was a kid....not the blockbuster. At twenty one, I think I'll take anything in that in my stride, sans trauma

I was in Waterford tonight on the piss and there was a whole bunch of people queueing in the rain waiting for the bookshop to open so they could buy the new book. That's just a little bit sad. Not just kids but adults too. Can they really not wait till the morning? Is it that important? I've read spoilers about who dies and TBH I have no idea who any of them are.

On the plus side, my new O2 broadband still works down here too, and I'm so drunk right now I can barely see the screen!

Yup. This is really pathetic. Reading should be a solitary pursuit carried out within the cocoon of one's ivory tower, goddammit!

I waited in Liffey Valley for 3 hours, nice and sheltered as well as warm. Got the book first and it was free. :)
