Was out at Bushy Park skatepark tonight and took a few snaps between riding my bike so I thought I'd share one capturing some rare sunshine!

Thanks guys. There's no polariser at all. Its the Nikon 10.5 mm fisheye and unlike my old Sigma 15mm fisheye for 35mm cameras, it doesn't have a slot for gel filters behind the rear element. The sky was just nice and blue and probably a stop or two underexposed. I'd say the glare from the sun being in the shot helped me get the graduated look in the sky as well!

Great shot, dude! You used fill flash, right? I need to learn how take decent photos with flash one of these days... Any time I use it, the photos come out so amateur looking!!!

I used 2 flashes, one off camera to the left and one handheld. I've got a few radio transmitters to remotely fire the flashes externally. I've got more stuff at http://www.flickr.com/photos/pete4130/
I see you've got some shots from Waterford, I recognise Jason Phelan in your photos too, he's a good friend of mine thru BMX and a funny funny guy!

So its YOU who's been getting my son all het up about BMX! He's a boarder, hangs about bushy a lot, apparently boards are, like, sooo last year.

Brilliant shot  Loads of energy. I need to learn flash techniques too.

    Sinead,

There are seriously some young kids ripping up that park. I'm guessing they spend all day every day there...lucky them! Alot of the younger guys have started getting good bikes and its catching on more. If you ever want some advice on buying a bike for your lad just drop me a line!

In the meantime here's a clip from my favourite movie from the 80's!

    Fantastic shot! Wow.

I've been there today. The sun was great (hidden) so I'll see in few days what had been captured to 400 ASA film via 28 mm lense, Aperture 1/8 and 1/1000 and 1/500 exposure :-)
I shouldn't mention my evening visit with my bike - I LOVE knee guards, they are an excellent invention! Ouch...

It is not question of age. I am too old to go there, but I am not the eldest there. Just respect other users in the park, try to understand what's going on, the rules, the language and don't shout at the nine year old boy doing flips on roller skates :-)

I've just seen few minutes form fantastic movie "BMX Bandits". Looks funny 80-s movie, but there is Nicole Kidman!
I can't wait to see the whole movie :-)

I've finished that movie now. She was riding that BMX like a pro! Fantastic movie :-)
