Ancient Rock Art, Challenge ?

    Well I was up in Loughcrew at the weekend, and took some photo's inside the cairn. Lighting wasn't as issues, the problem is that I'm trying to get the carvings to really stand out or alternatively "strip" out the carvings, if you know what I mean.
    I've spent the last few hours trying different stuff but I'm at a dead end, if you know what I mean. The main reason for this is that I took about 10 RAW files and when I stitch them together for a nice large image, I want to know "what" to do as it takes an age to make a change, and yes I tried mixing the two below, just wondering is there a better way that about 10 curves, negatives etc :)
