Basically before people think I won't pay for a double room, my company have already booked a single bed room for my business trip. My girlfriend is coming with me so we will share a bed. Will this be a problem for the hotel that 2 people stay in a single bed room? Will they charge us extra?

And if the hotel does find out, you could be kicked out. Your employer would love that.

It would be better to ask your employer to book a double room for you and pay the difference.

The price is usually per person per room - especially if brekkie is part of the deal, so there will probably be a supplement for the two people sharing.

Just ring the hotel, explain the sitation and say you will pay the balance upon checkout.

It's also handy to let them know there will be 2 of you, so they can provide 2 towels, 2 sets of consumables/etc, give you 2 keycards...
