Due to the the thread in the tournament section receiving such a bashing from Lloyd et al i was wondering what people think the hardest tournament is to win out right,
I think due to the short stacks and the unpredictable play the 20FO is a very difficult tournament to win on any given day, although many would argue the poor standard makes up for this.
    nominations welcome....

more runners = more difficult, I guess

The sh1ter the structure = more difficult to win by using skill.

    The EPT Dublin?

Ah no, seriously, I find it harder to win/go deep in crapshoots than in longer structure tournies, but I am sure other people are the other way around.

The EPT's seem to get ridonkulously strong fields, doesn't seem to be any value in them from what I can see/have heard.

As Dom said, I also find bad structured tournaments diffiucult to go deep in. The 50DC in the SE is one, as is the fitz Fri scalps. The standard in both is terrible but, once you get to three tables out the average stack is about 15BB so as HJ once said, it's the poker equivilant of monkeys throwing faeces at each other. I haven't played either in months, imo JP's Sunday game is the only good quality weekly tournament, with plenty of play right up to HU.

I agree, the one I won twice in a month is the hardest to win!!

i think its different for everybody, depending on your style of play, some like short stack tourneys and some like deep stacks, and others like rebuys. personally i find them all difficult. even though i havent been up in dublin for a while, and i have never played a jp poker event, but i have heard they are very well run. and i will play them soon. personally prefer hotel venues to casinos. its nice to be able to have a good cool pint of guinness, and not some rubbish, as is available in most casinos.

I thought the Fitz had changed their Friday night scalps structure to make it longer and stop the crap shot with 2 tables remaining.

They had increased the chips in play and the level length, but then a few weeks ago they changed to length level back to 20 mins.

What are the odds.....The only tournament you can Klonk* you way to a win in is the one being discussed.

*Klonk = luckbox, Anna has been teaching me some proper poker jargon and I just had to find a way to use it.

SE 200 has to be up there with the toughest, the goons will always get found out there by the end of the night

Of the regular games about, I think Jp's game and boards SE game are two of the toughest at the moment. The better the structure the tougher it is to win I think.
