Dont see him betting that river on a straight draw board with less than a flush. I put him on either a busted straight, 89c or trips but probably still shove.

I'd bet more on the turn aswell.

When you flop a hand like that you should be looking at the best way to get all or most of your opponents stack in before you begin betting, as youve already said your flop bet was too small and this reduces your chances of building a big pot.

If you bet 3/4 pot on flop and 3/4 pot on turn then youll only need to bet $5.50 or so into an $8 pot on the river to get all in. I always think its best to bet harder on the 1st 2 streets especially on a drawy board because alot of the time people will miss out on their draws and fold the river so you miss out if you bet weak on the 1st 2 streets with the hope of c/raising the river and then they miss. Also you dont want to be giving them favourable odds with a combo draw on a board like that eg Qc9c or say AcTc.

Anyway as played on a straight flush paired board and he leads out after you bet 2 streets, i dont think you can ever shove here unless hes a complete an utter donk. Your getting 3/1 on the call and i think at best your breaking even over a large sample calling here and its played so like a flush, check/call flop and turn, flush hits and all of a sudden their betting. Id need to be getting 5/1 here to call so for me its a fold your only beating a bluff or a weirdly played trips.

i always call here, but i'm always beaten.

bet more on the flop and turn, and play 6max!

dont play 6max, Fr is so much easier.

But 6 max is more exciting and there's nowhere for the nits to hide!

You do realise the board is Tc8x6c 6x Kc, he probably doesn't have a full house but shoving a straight there makes no sense.
Getting better than 3-1, your hand only has to be good 25+% of the time and you beat stuff like T9,KT so I'd call the river.

    why?

    why?

The lack of variance. It's no where near as up and down 6max and for a beginner player thats they should be looking for until they have a decent handle on the basics.

I dont plan on trying 6 max until i am winning at NL 50. Although i'd interested too see peoples BB/100 at NL 10 and 5.

    play 6 max

You play more hands and that interests the more gamble type players.

Yup I just called. He had Qc7c.
Tryin to do the whole grind up the levels with a proper bankroll thing.
Goin well so far but I'm tryin to fix leaks in my game.
Thought I might have found a fold here on this board.

Edit: I'm playing full ring because it seems to me to be a lot softer.
My PT stats are crazy though. 45/32/1.9 which i don't think is sustainable.
It's only over a small sample size so probably not accurate.
Gonna have to calm it down when I move up.

lol I think you've just found the leak you need to plug!! Full ring you prob need to be more like 18/15 I would imagine. Stop playing anything but monsters in EP, and stop playing hands like 97o completely. Honestly, you will notice a big big difference in results. I also need to follow my own advice...

op i'm like you building from micro limits (deposited €10 in june and managed to x5 until last night where I had 2 savage beats and lost €20!!! thats another story).
I would avoid playing the original hand as you'll lose more than you win with that kind of junk (obviously you got a great flop)
Also check out Lee Jones book on low limit hold em , it certainly has made me a far better low limit player (until last night!)
