saw it again last night after a few years and its still one of my favourite films good action and very funny. anyone else think this is great? i would say its as good as serenity when it comes to this kind of sci fi action comedy thing but i know the serenity people will hang me for that

I really like this film. I've seen it plenty of times and don't get tired of it. I also thought Serenity was a great film, I wouldn't like to compare them though, mainly cause I just don't like to do that. I'm sure you could find good and bad points to both (not many bad ones though) but I couldn't say one is better than the other.
Don't think anyone will hang you either, it's just your opinion. It's not like you said it was a fact.

The Fifth Element is a great movie. Fast paced, great characters, amazing visuals etc. I don't think it's fair to compare it to Serenity as they are different movies, and Serenity had a TV series to work on it's character development.

Both great movies in their own right.

It is a terrific film. There's just something impressive about the way it was made - it feels vibrant, exciting and original. Some of the scenes are utterly weird as well. I saw that scene where
the blue opera singer gets cut open
years ago and it has always stayed with me as a very odd looking scene.

As for comparisons with Serenity, I am hardcore Browncoat so can't necessarily agree, although I think they are both excellent examples of the sci-fi action genre.

Any film with a nearly naked Milla Jojovich is a great film. Great performance from Gary Oldman and Bruce is his reliable wise-cracking self.

What do you mean 'nearly'? Did you miss the start or something? You can keep her though, she's awfully skinny.
Very enjoyable film. A lot of people I know hate it. Too weird for a lot of tastes but I love it.

Jojovich is incredibly hot, and very cute in this movie. It's a nice bit of escapism wrapped up in a bit of sci-fi, but I've seen Jojovich in many other movies, and she's not half as nice. Chris Tucker puts on a great performance.

Love it. It's just such an enjoyable, fun movie. It does divide opinion though, I know people who love it and others that hate it.

Unless its a full front shot then it doesnt count as naked. And the woman is a goddess. The sexiest eyes ever.

What's the point in showing a stick insect with no curves naked? There's nothing to see!

I don't think milla jovovich is a stick insect. She's insanely hot. Pity she's only in sh*te like resident evil and ultraviolet.

I would have imagined having a bunch of bricks in your stomach would affect your career as an opera singer... but I guess not...

+1 Ruby Rhod is up there with my favourite movie characters.

"What's wrong with you? What you screamin' for? Every 5 minutes there's somethin', a bomb or somethin'. I'm leavin'. bzzzz."

"No no no no no no. 'Cuz if it was a bomb, the alarms would go off 'cuz all these hotels have bomb detectors, right?
    [the alarms sound]"

    And so on...
