Hi People.

I am trying to get some information from all the IT support boardies on different companies IT on-call, out of hours call out rates, arrangements, and any other information I can get together so I can renegotiate my current on-call arrangements. I think it could be helpful for people in a similar situation as myself to have an idea of the various on-call rates and procedures that are out there. I do realise that a lot of people on boards (including myself) may not willing to divulge personal information about themselves or the companies they work for on boards for various reasons etc. so I'm looking for views on how we could go about this if anyones interested? Please be assured that any personal informaition given to me will be treated in strict confidence.

Information I'm looking for is as follows: Comments please?

Out of hours on-call payment: Yes/No
If so how much:
Payment for taking indidual calls: Yes/No
If yes is it a set payment or overtime per call?
If overtime is it standard overtime rates?
If you are working on a call out of hours are you expected in after a 11hr break eg. Working on system till 3AM are you expected in at 2PM or 9AM?

Out of hours system maintenance etc.
Is this classed as overtime? Yes/no
If so is it at standard overtime rates?
If you are working out of hours are you expected in after a 11hr break eg. Working on system till 3AM are you expected in at 2PM?

Feel free to PM me on this if your interested.

Thanks
