What kind of LNB can I use with digiglobe dish?

    I have a digiglobe dish.
It came with a "universal lnb" which has only one port.
I need at least 2 ports to use sky+.

Will sky give me a LNB when they come to install sky hd, or do I need to buy the LNB for this dish myself? I know the minidish lnb is not compatible with this dish.

If i need to buy one, which can i use.

The pictures I seen online for lnb's look a bit different then the one that I have, but I read reports about ppl installing dual/quad lnb in the digiglobe.

Also, does the dish have to be perfectly tight mounted to the ground, or can it wobble a bit?

They do expect to change the LNB and fit a Qaud (four outlets).

See does an outer collar come off your Sky quad LNB. If not then you need to buy an ordinary Quad LNB.

MY Sky Quad the outer collar uncliped and then it fitted a regular dish.

It can't wobble. 1/2" (1cm) movement in rain could entirely lose the signal. The satellite is 22,500 miles away (about 45,000km) and every 3 degrees across the sky there is a different satellite. With a TV aerial it could move 20 degrees and still pickup the same transmitter perfectly.

The Digiglobe is a special type of dish - a Cassegrain - and requires a C120 type LNB.

Inverto manufacture compact twin C120 LNBs.

They also make quad C120 but you'd need to be sure there will be enough space in the digiglobe. MTI or Invacom are alternative C120 LNB manufacturers.

That looks like exactly what I need.
Do you know where I can buy that one? i search google and ebay but everywhere only has the single.

Is it the same as this one?

The one I have does not have that white cover on it, can that be removed?
Because with that cover in the way i do not think it will screw onto the dish.

Sorry I dont know much about satellite or LNB's

The single LNB that came with my digiglobe has no white cap, it has the small round holes and you can see inside like the one in the pic above.
But all the LNBs I see on ebay and other sites all have the white cap, i dont know what thats for, can it be take off?
I need to screw the lnb onto the holder through the holes that can be seen there, and the cap would seem to inhibit this.
