Whoa.. that first one looks bright on the laptop screen! Kind of hard to tell on this but the cloud detail looks lovely :) Sunsets are something I haven't mastered yet. On my way to Kerry in a week and a bit with the tripod though so that's one thing I hope to remedy.

it was all natural light , i don't know if it is global warming or what , but a few of us there were looking on in amazement , at the strange light ! weird

That first is astonishing , all those pastel shades. I was in town this evening and took some shots ... on black and white film. I suspect they may lack the impact of yours somewhat :-)

I've never seen anything like the light in the first one Barry. Freaky! Great stuff.

(Heading for 100,000 views now BTW) :D

i'm no ps expert , but when i did some editing they looked worse , or more real life -- i did a tiny sharpen and thats it -- it just looks sureal to me -- luckily for once i had my slr with me , which got a few jealous looks --

East coast residents, deprived of decent sunsets. :p
Get yourself over to the other side of the island, to see what amazing light at dusk, looks like.
    I like your shots though.
    More good work from you.

During the winter, we get the sunrise in West Cork too.
The sun is lower in the sky, so you'll get it in many coastal areas. :p

*Reminder to self* Not living in West Cork now. :(

We get both all year round :)
The light in that first one is odd thebaz....I'd say the whole country had a bit of a show put on for it last night, I was out around Tramore and it was fantastic there too....all pastel shades.
