    Hi all,

I’m new to this and I’m considering FTA. What satellite receiver would you recommend? I want to connect it to my old sky dish and perhaps be a bit more future proof in case I develop the appetite for changing satellites. Is there any point in getting one with hard drive and what would be the benefits of having a hard drive? I mean what does it do?
I do apologies about silly questions. :o

I would suggest Technomate satellite receivers any of these
models TM-1000 D ,TM-1000 CI,TM-1500 CI or if you want a built in hard drive go for either TM-8000 HD 80 MC CI. or TM-8000 HD 120 MC CI check them for yourself www.technomate.com

One more question, hard drive thingy… is that for recording and pausing “live” tv broadcast?

    Thanks !
