Currently looking at one of these at the moment. Its a 1998 with 4K hours. Anthing I should know about the Case. Anything to look out for. Its in good nick and is clean, and has a joy stick control for the loader. Would you recommend or not?. See lots of Case tractors around

not an expert on these models but from what i have heard they dont live up to the Case name the way they should. While Case IH are one of the better makes around, I wouldnt go for a 4240 or the like. There not as reliable as the 885 before them and that lp cab is not so comfortable either. Wouldn't reccomend it to be honest.

    Hello,
I'm also looking for a tractor with loader in the 80 to 90 hp range, I've been advised by someone who knows a lot more about tractors to go for a Case 4240, he's just finished repairing one to sell. I've heard nothing bad about them, I have been quoted E14000 for one by a dealer in Navan, it's 1998.
I've been told MF 390 and Landini Blizzard are also ones to go for.
what prices have you been asked? I've been asked E17000 for a 4230 Case and E15000 for 4240 more than once.
Let me know how you get on
    Tom.
