Sleep specialist in Galway?

    Anyone know of a sleep specialist in Galway and how I can go about contacting one? I don't necessarily want to go though my GP. GPs don't often take sleeping disorders seriously from my experience. Anyone have any ideas?

    what is the disorder you want to discuss with your GP?

    You can just ask your gp to refer you to a sleep clinic in the Galway area. I know there are a few in dublin.

    I had a similar problem with a GP in dublin who more or less fobbed me off when I looked for a referral to a sleep clinic, I made an appointment with another and within 6 months I had my sleep study and treatment.

    Had a look at them, but I don't think I need to go to a sleep clinic right away, although that might be a possibility in the future.

    A friend of mine went down that whole long road in the Uk and now has great satisfaction with supplements of melatonin (sp?) Took years to sort it out though but great result in the end:)

    Hope you get satisfaction soon
