SUBURBAN KIDS WITH BIBLICAL NAMES (on at 3pm)

Suburban Kids with Biblical Names are Peter Gunnarsson and Johan Hedberg from Haninge in Sweden. The near-unique Suburban Kids with Biblical Names combine intelligent, often darkly humorous, lyrics and a bewildering mix of musical styles from skiffle through African hi-life and electronica to produce infectious DIY pop.

Suburban Kids with Biblical Names' debut album #3 - following their first two EPs #1 & #2 - was released in 2005 by Labrador Records and subsequently released in the US by Minty Fresh and in the UK & Ireland by Dublin's yesboyicecream records, receiving widespread critical acclaim (8/10 - NME; 4/5 - Uncut, The Guardian, Q, The Wire, Plan B).

They are headlining at the the Galway Arts Festival on Thursday 26th, before moving to Cork (Cyprus Avenue) for a late gig on Friday. They finish up on Sunday afternoon in Dublin in Kennedy's. They will be playing songs from their forthcoming album #4.
