Hey all,ive done a few shoots on the beach with models before but ive never done one in overcast conditions in the evening!
Any tips on the best way of doing this?
Working with a nikon d70's,sigma 10-20 +nikon 17-55 so what type of settings you think i should be looking at cuz i dont want 2 be pissing about in the rain for 2 long :)

Take a few test shots first and gauge off these, at least you wont have bright sun to deal with! get as much as you can right before bringing the model into the equation.

Exactly - be glad if you won't have bright sunlight. And if you can bring some assistant with you, with some hot tea and covers, that would be even better. He/she can hold reflective boards and remote flash guns.
Try it with non-model first, exposures, compositions and especially timing - where to get to the beach and what is the last possible time to get shots you want.
That all will help you to set the deal with models.

Overcast conditions wth fill flash can have great effects!

There's a good video on Strobist here which shows great results with a 2 flash setup
