Just wondering if anyone knows of a good website for information on these. I've been toying with the idea of an Ascona or Cavalier as a first-time classic project (I have the possibility of picking up an Ascona but have to inspect it first). However, a quick google didn't throw up as much info as I would have expected. Just wondering if any of the posters here know anything about them, in particular re the dreaded rot setting in.
I'd expect them to be fairly straightforward mechanically, but some hidden area prone to rust is my real fear.

Thanks for that Manta mad. I'm awaiting activation on vxopel.com. The other link is pointing to the wrong website, but I discovered Mantaclub.org, which is pretty neat.
Tidy Asconas are rare indeed. I've learned of a barn find 4-door which is far from mint, but is alleged to be reasonably solid. I just need to drag my ass over to have a look at it.
