[iPod] Problem - will I lose all my music?

i have got a new laptop if i plug my ipod into it will i lose all my music and movies is there a solution to this problem,my old pc is f***** so how can i salvage my music from that...........i

As far as I know you hold down ctrl + shift when you're connecting your ipod/opening itunes (this will stop it auto syncing). Then change your ipod syncing to a manual update in itunes.
