Its on with one of the semi-finals of the football championship, so it wont be for another while. Around the end of August I think. Wicklow do have a good chance of winning this now, I'd fancy them over Antrim. Finally some silverware in the Garden County:D. Might give a bit of a boost to the team ahead of winter, hopefully carry it on next year too.

Played football in Wicklow for years and it always amazed me how so many good players could look so ****e in the county jersey (and yes, I am well aware of the parochial rivalries). I hope they win though and you know Micko will have them well up for it.

If it's on with one of the semi's that would be the 19th or 26th of August then, a bit of a way away.

Was at the semi in Aughrim on Saturday, have to say, Waterford were a bit unlucky, Wicklow just played in a few patches in the first half and didn't do anything much at all in the 2nd. Although a few excellent points near the end from Tony Hannon and Leighton Glynn kept us far enough ahead. A Waterford goal chance hit the post in the 1st half just after our 2 goals and if that had gone in who knows?

Some silverware would be nice alright, let's hope Micko is able to stay around Wicklow for another year or 2 at least and keep up the momentum

Some good players there - saw the three games against Louth and was very impressed with Glynn - quality footballer and could be a real star in a bigger team.....

    When is Audust?:D

Wicklow loss to Louth may be a blessing in disguise. For some teams it would be better to win a cup with less prestige than progress one round and then hockeyed and win nothing.Offaly are a disgrace.
