    2 x pint bottle is a fiver in tesco in lucan... it is magners but still ok.

    tea saw them from a distance and thought they were litre bottles.... nearly had a brakedown in tesco...:D

    How do you mean, it's "still ok"?

    Bulmers = Magners. The only difference is the label.

    Yeah but it's 2 for a fiver

    they retail at approx 4.50 for a pint in the pub

    Pint bottles of Magners sell for the equivalent €2.30 a bottle in my local sumpermarket here in Wales.

    Are you sure they are not 750ml?, they only have 750 and 1litre bottles in SuperValu.

    If its 750ml then its a good deal, otherwise 2:50 for a pint is hardly bargain from an offie

    Mossy is right, the 1L bottles are normally about €4.95 so 2x pints for €5 is not that great. 500ml cans are generally about €2.20-2.50 depending on where you buy.

    Anyone in Limerick can get a slab of Bulmers cans in the Fine Wines Party Store in the Ballysimon retail park, beside Soundstore, for €43. That's about €1.79 a can which I think is pretty good. Handy for a party or bar-be-cue, if we ever get the weather.
