Boosting your NTL signal

    Anyone know how to boost a NTL signal.....Got a loan of a **** Sat receiver ( thinking of buying 1 ) but its not working right because the NTL signal around here (Coolock) isn't strong enough. Neigbour has the same prob.

    Whats your exact address so we can organise one of the ntl guys on here to call around and sort out your problem by taking that illegal box from you and then serving you with a prosecution.

    Probably nothing to do with the signal strength. Probably everything to do with the dodgy box.

    Whoa now, nothing fully incriminating there, just a fair amount of stupidity (with respect to the OP).

    Philon: Satellite boxes will never work with cable TV. You need a satellite dish, like the Sky ones that many people have, to get the likes of BBC and ITV and other Free-to-air channels.

    I'm also going to point out that trying to decode digital NTL signals which you didn't pay for is a criminal offence and must not be discussed whatsoever on boards.ie.

    Philon: Satellite boxes will never work with cable TV.

    The reason why the OP mentioned "sat receiver" is because it's written on the front of the box.
