Does anyone know if you have to pay any duty on second hand clubs bought from the USA through ebay? There seems to be a lot of money to be saved on decent clubs.

yep you got to pay tax and normally is quite a lot...21% anyway plus some release charges etc....

i bought a few things and got them shipping to my buddy who lives over there and then he ships them and marks them as a gift...no import tax...

You have to pay vat of 21% of the combined total price of the item and the shipping

Get them shipped by usps (postal service). If stated value is under €200 you only pay duty not vat . Use fed ex or ups and not only do you pay excise and vat , you also will get hit with a collection charge by the courier .

Doesn't seem right that you would be charged so much for used clubs, if they were new I could understand, great little country this. Is there any US ebay shop that uses USPS as any that I have come across seem to use UPS or Fedex ?
