It only covers locations in Germany at the moment - can't see any reason why it isn't a global resource, aside from the lack of postcodes in certain third world countries!
Not surprisingly, most of the sunny roofs available in this website are in postcodes beginning with 7, 8 and 9 (PLZ map: http://www.schubart.net/plz/)

A similar website in Ireland covering wind, solar, microhydro, and other green energy resources would be useful.
