Dual layer DVD

    Hi,im unsure whether my dvd drive is capable of recording on dual layer discs..its a standard Dell Dimension E520..but the dell support site dosnt really specify. anyone know if they'll work? thanks

    Eh, well when did you buy yer computer? If it's been within the past year then it probably does as it's been standard for ages.

    What about checking the manual that came with the laptop? More than likely it'll state what type of drive it is.

    Use Nero Info Tool or whatever to find out the specs of your drive.

    Alternatively, in My Computer, right click on your DVD drive ->Properties ->Hardware. Yor DVD model will be listed here. Google it.

    DVDInfo will tell you what types of media your writer supports. It's not free but the demo version should tell you what you want to know.
