What HDtv to buy

Hi folks, looking for some advice on what tv to buy. Im looking to spend around 1500 on a HDtv in the next few weeks and was wondering where is the best deal and what kind of resolution, make etc i should be going for. Obviosuly i would be hoping to get a large screen size too around 40" if possible. Thanks
