Is it an expensive city? I'm going for 2 week soon. How much is food/drink? What would you seuugest as a daily budget for the necessities?

Like all major cities its as dear or as cheap as you want it. Northern Spain is cheaper. If you stick to the tourist spots its on a par to Marbella.

There are some lovely eating places, when i was last there i wandered a lot and eat where the locals ate avoiding the people touting for business.

Its a lovely city, beware of pickpockets, especially aroung the main tourist attractions.

Your daily budget shoul dbe the same as you would expect to pay in Ireland, ie if you usually spend 40€ per meal here you will spend slightly less in Barcelona. Remember that the wine is much cheaper. You can purchase your wines etc in the local Mercanoda or Supersol

    Enjoy
