given that I'm in an extra obnoxious mood after returning from the pub I'll say "boo urns" and let people continue creating new threads for each new competition that turns up. Anyway, there aren't enough new competition threads regularly enough to justify the space that a sticky would take up. Tis valuable real estate around these parts ya know.

Why does a sticky take up more real estate? Seems like a fairly ok idea to me.. afterall - once the competition is finished the redundant information can be binned rather than existing for years on an archive..

yeah but once the competition is over, the thread doesnt get posted to and slips out of view. With a sticky it'd require updating and maintaining. I'm all for archive rather than the bin.

In a way, we're all the boss... but in a more significant way, I'm the boss... Geez, that sounds good. "I'M THE BOSS" Suggestion noted, but given the amount of competition threads we get on here, I dont think it's a runner.

Whatever ya think rymus,Just thought if there was a sticky it would encourage people to post seeing as theres a few competitions on now.

How about a Photography Events/Competitions/Upcoming Festivals etc
Would combine alot of different ideas into one and maybe make itself work as a sticky..
Festivals that would offer good photography ops,
Competitions for people to enter (I always seem to miss these)
Photo Events - Ppls photography, Open days etc..

Just another spin on the OPs idea..
