Thaxton or Arthur would have finished him off if they were in Limond's position. Limond is a naturally smaller guy and isn't known for being a big hitter. Khan will improve but i think he still has a way to go before he can win a world title.

can I please remind people that he is a kid!!!! Limond caught him and he was niave - however he answered Limond in the best way possible.

Here is the name drop - I've been offered a day training with Khan and a wee bit of sparring - I am current a stone (make that two) overweight so said I would take him up on it when I lose the weight.

getting hurt and winning the way he did makes him all the better and tougher too-he's not a machine and can be knocked out like any man..

please take him out then VF.... I dont like cockiness in a boxer(AK) until they have earned it.

Khan's first pro-fight seen him caught way too often ,...
then Limond last night opened up a few questions about Khan....
what if he was put in there against a guy his own size that can fight ?
Willie L was a small guy who was lured up in weight for a one-off pay match, nobody gave him much of a chance,..... he was 14/1 to win before the first punch was thrown.

You think Khan is cocky? I think he's very humble for someone throw into the limelight so young.

Saturday night will do him the world of good and hopefully they keep him away from the big boys for a few years at least.

Great fight with positives and negatives for Khan.

Positive is that he showed heart, guts and plenty of speed and courage to
come back like he did. That was speacial. His speed was the difference.
Both were throwing shots near the end but Khans' speed meant he was the one landing considerably more. He did what he had to do and took the guy out.
Also, though badly rocked he still fought back excellently in the rd and almsot turned it around. He then comes out in the 7th I think and obliterates Limond who took a severe beating. All credit to Limond. What a tough man.

Negative is that Khan is at times so OPEN to shots and even haymakers.
Limond though champ and obviously quite good, is still not a great puncher and is not the cream. If Limond was a puncher, Khan was GONE....Does Khan have a chin?, against a Limond he maybe does, but against a hard hitter, he does not, at least not at this stage in his career. Khan was absolute out on his feet and Had Limond been a better finisher with a wallop, he would have KO'd Amir...

Khan still so young and a great prospect, but a lot to leatrn still. Hopefully he does and keeps getting better, because boxing needs more talent like Khan
