Where in Dublin will measure you properly for boots/shoes etc. Great outdoors the only place?

I wouldn't waste my time anywhere else to be honest.

Drop in there during the week if you can and speak with Charlie (I think he only works weekdays) - He knows his stuff very well indeed. I got a pair of Meindl Himalaya's with custom fitted insoles - The business, and worth the spend.

    Cheers,

    Gil

Yeah, I would say GO is the best place to go. It not too expensive but its well worth it.

Sometimes you can get someone good in Millets, but I would also go with GOD. How much would you pay for not having a blister those last 20km?
