Hello, We (me and boyf) are going on a couple of weeks trip (first holiday in blooming months and months and months) to the north west Donegal and Sligo in August.

I would love to know if anyone has reccommendations for any wild camping spots, i know in Wicklow Coillte let campers camp on their lands and the Wicklow national Park too subject to certain code.

Is there anything similar in Donegal and if so where are the Coillte lands in Donegal? Anyone got any handy spots they could let us know about. Just the two of us and 1 tent ..

    Many thanks!

    Hi.

    How was Your trip??

I never did wild camping in Ireland, but I want a try.
I did it few years ago in Slovakia, was wonderfull :)

I am not sure it is safety in Ireland when You slep in Tent?

We think to slept in Donegal on beach place, ,it is legal??

I found few nice beach spot:

"Streedagh Beach outside Grange in Co Sligo, fantastic fossil beach with great surfing.

Island Roy between Carrigart and Downings, Co Donegal - Just watch out for the rabbits and the guys hunting them the odd night!! "

Is there in Ireland official Signed FREE camping places??

I am from Poland and many times seen in my country official signed places for camping but wild, there is sign, and some wooden bench with table usually close lake etc. Is there something like this in Ireland?
