Just wondering, what's the best TV (plasma/lcd) for a games console?

I'm looking for one that doesn't burn into the screen.

There's no perfect TV. You're best off asking over at Avforums.com

...it accepts a 1080P signal, but it scales it down to 1080i.

I have to LCD 780p Samsungs and have been well impressed with them. They are more a less similar to the Sony Bravia's but a couple of hundred cheaper. Burn in doesnt seem to be an issue with the newer tv models anyway.

720p u mean..... I say go up the north, save 33% on average on most LCD's.

    Sony KDL-40P2530 - €1100 @ Peats

They're having a sale at the minute so I'm not sure if they'll have any left. It seems like a decent price for the model.

    Here is the spec. [Linky]

1100euro for a 720p television?? if you pay that much then sony might aswell stick a sony logo on a piece of sh*t and sell it for 100euro. i'm sure some people would by it. you'll get 1080p 37inchers for 1200euro up the north in currys and the like. quick trip and u'll save some serious cash, and save yourself from buying out of date 720p specifications.

Burn-in only affects Plasma TV's , LCD's are not capable of getting burn-in, so I would suggest you get a LCD, I have been very impressed with any Samsung (LCD) HDTV's I have seen so I would recomend them.

Without pointing to anyone in particular, there are some half truths being told
    in this thread.

Avforums is still your best bet to get the answers you need.
