    Hi Folks
I managed to get a great deal for flights for 2 adults + 1 child ( myself ,the missus and my son 7) into Faro airport on Saturday 18th August
Can anyone recommend a resort for me to stay in and also a reasonably priced hotel/apartment ?
I have been searching round and not much .I would like to stay close to the beach and amenities to keep us entertained, i aint into hiring cars when abroad, prefer to be central and just chill out near the beach etc.

Praia de rocha seems to be getting a bit of a bad reputation in various forums, would Albufeira be the better option for a family orientated peaceful holiday ?

I need to source the apartment/hotel at a reasonable price or she will kill me:)

Cheers for any pointers or referrals you can give me

well if i was you, i would be having a look at villas for rent using the internet.
you can get some great places, with their own pool etc.
no fighting over the seats etc.
use any of the many websites..just google algarve villa rentals and dee the choices available...some will be mad prices but keep looking ...email offers to people ...see what happens
where to go ...many choices... we are just back from villas alvas near vale do lobo...higly recommended...
    lagos is good...great for kids...
depends what you are looking for.

My boyfriend and I are going to Lagos around that time, it seems lovely.
Check tripadvisor.com's forums. They will have lots of help there.

I have booked villas with www.algarvillas.net and www.algarvehousing.net I got a last minute deal with kevin in algarve villas and saved a fourtune. It would be worth an email at least.
The villa is the only way to go. True comfort!!

Just back from 2 weeks in Vila Branca appartments in Lagos - http://www.vila-branca.com. We booked through Sunworld so I'm sure of the rates.

The appartments are spotless with a bar and 2 swimming pools, it was cool there when the wind picked up.

I must do a review in the next few days but if you any queries PM me.
