    If so its a step in the right direction, the next move would be to move the CASA's, put one in EINN and one in EICK, such a waste of time and money having them at EIME and going "cross country" before they even go "Ops Normal" over the Atlantic and such.

    Well the Cn 235s don't always patrol the Atlantic every day. They usually go high over the center of the country once a week and scan all Irish waters for vessels with their main radar and then when they do go patrol the Atlantic they use the data from this scan to find these ships. Anyway the cost of moving everything and more importantly everyone to another location might be too much especially considering most maintenance crews work on more than one aircraft type and those guys are scarce enough as it is (not to mention the coneheads).

    Lol, sounds like a nice little wind up. Birr is currently 600m of grass and faced a huge planning struggle to get approval for a hangar. The area it's located in has seen lots of housing development in recent years, and there is ery little scope for expansion.
