Hi Im looking for some advice..

Im currently doing a degree in accounting and finance but Im more into the law side of things. At the time I was short points to do law but anyway would it be possible to pursue a career as a solicitor with an accounting degree or would I be way out of my dept?

Does anybody know of someone who went the law route with an accounting degree?

Thanks for the advice in advance

Sure jaysus a law degree isn't worth sh!t any more. There's a one year postgraduate dip, and numerous other courses that prepare you for the Fe1's (that's the law society entrance exams I believe). Do a bit of research on it.
My sister did a journalism degree, did a 1 year dip, and did those exams. Then you have to try and get an apprenticeship.

    Thanks for the reply Chump,

So you dont have to have a law degree to go that route, and can anyone do the one year postgraduate dip after they get a degree? What is 1 year dip your sister done?

Are the law societys exams structured the same way as the accountancy exams??

I will continue to research it but thanks for the useful info..
