    Any FAE'ers out there?

    How's the study going?

    Any advice from any ACAs?

I did my fae in 05 and was without a doubt the easiest exam ive ever done

The pass rate is huge (don't forget Ireland has a huge shortage of ACAs) and if you're in a big 4 you'll get 3 months study leave.

I didn't go to a single lecture, spend June island-hopping in greece, july photocopying and organising notes and august studying - all my marks were over 60% so passed each easily.

Your only concerns should be your audit experience ie if you don't spend your days auditing stock, debtors, bank etc then you may find auditing difficult so will need to study more in that subject. Multi-D is a joke - all you do is divide the case study text up per the Qs (i-x) and use every piece for one of your answers - don't use generic ansers or text

In July go through the course outline and ensure you have decent notes/texts for every topic - then for study do exam papers (whislt doing the papers reference your notes) - practising exam papers is the key

Worst mistake you can make is reading notes/books without doing the papers - FAE is applying the knowledge you learnt in prof 3/masters

    Best of luck!
