Overnight Stay In Atlanta Airport..where to stay?

    Hi,
    I am flying to hawaii next month and am stopping off in atlanta airport for 12 hours.. I have been looking for hotels in the airport but I can only find those "bookhere4cheap" sites.. Has anyone every stayed in a hotel in atlantg airport and how would I go about finding a decent one???

    A quick Google for overnighting in Atlanta throws up this comment on a forum:
    Forgot to add that Drury was the same price as Holiday Inn but with extra catering and there is a free airport shuttle every thirty minutes http://www.druryhotels.com/properties/atlantaairport.cfm willl give you details

    Atlanta airport didn't strike me as a place to sleep overnight. Massive security (it and Dallas are the main hubs for troops to and from Iraq). Sorry I can't help with a hotel. I've never been there for more than 5 hours

    I'd suggest having a look at the main hotel sites

    www.hilton.com
    www.starwood.com
    www.ichotelsgroup.com
    www.marriott.com etc

    Plus use some of the links in the "Useful sites..." sticky at the top of the forum. Some sites (like hotels.com) will even let you put the airport code in to search for hotels nearby. You can check out what others thought at www.tripadvisor.com
