'Ammending' my CV

As the title suggests, Im looking for some advice about how I should go about doctoring my CV slightly. I fear that it looks a bit patchy as there are a lot of holes in it (ie priods when I was on the dole).

I graduated in sep. 05 and got a job immediately working for Eircom in Dublin. I left that job in feb 06 (stupid in hindsight) and all I could manage to get thereafter was a couple of temp contracts (4 weeks, 6 weeks). Then in mid July I got a permanent job working for a telecoms company. I really hated that job and after 5 weeks quit and moved down to cork (I was thinking about moving for a long time but the sh*t job was the last straw).

When I moved to cork I got a job in a company till Xmas (thats what the contract for) and then got another job 2 weeks after finishing that.

I was thinking about removing the last job I had in Dublin alltogether and just say I went traveling for the summer of something. Most of the jobs on my CV are temp contracts and I specify if a job was a temp one on my CV. It looks pretty patchy overall but leaving a permanent job after 5 weeks looks even worse.

I was just wondering is there anything I need to look out for if I'm going to do this, for example, can employers see my actual employment history based on my tax history or anything?

    Thanks
