    Hi,

Just wondering if anyone know the brand used in most casinos. I like the ones they us in the Fitz. I'm looking at stocking some top quality brands and would like to get something like the ones used in the fitz and other casinos around.

I know they are plastic, but not sure what brand, and i haven't been to a casino in a while... No time these days.

    Thanks.

I started to buy from this crowd on ebay..

they since set up a webshop...

    http://www.caragails.com/

According to them KEM are the best make, but are expensive.
COPAG are almost as good and reasonably priced, apparently the WPT started to use these this year!

I have KEM and had Copag before. I think Copag are better to be honest.

But they use a different kind to what i used... They feel much better.

thanks for the link i'll take a look

I don't know if the Fitz is using them currently, but i know they have used Fournier cards in the past. I like them a lot.

THOSE are the ones I've been trying to find! They use them in the Macau. Lovely cards.

Fournier are the cards used in the Fitz, also if anyone has picked up a PPP deck, they are the same. Definitely the best cards, but last considerably less time than say, Kems or Copaqs.
Plus AFAIK, you can't buy the Fournier unless you are a card room/casino. Not 100% on that but I remember trying to buy some online before but you needed to order in bulk.

kem have been taken over by copag so not sure what the story will be in the future with the kem brand.....fournier are a spanish company who deal in large minimum orders & therefore deal with trade only orders.....i find the fournier cards are more robust than the copags which are easily marked...kems are just too expensive to be practical

There is still plenty of KEM stock around.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/KEM-Playing-Card-4-Decks-Arrow-Wide-POKER-Jumbo-Index_W0QQitemZ170129058230QQihZ007QQcategoryZ10908QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Ships to Ireland, 4 packs large index for 41.30 delivered and he's a trustworthy seller.

If you are looking for for more try emailing him asking if he will do a better price on a larger order.

Just always be sure to win the auction via ebay (private auction), don't do outside deals as you can too easily be shafted.

actually the same seller that lynchtp posted slightly cheaper to buy the KEMS via ebay

I think they use copag because I have them at home and they seem to be the same.

KEM were bought by US Playing Card Co about 18 months ago - they will be developing the brand greatly over the coming years.

COPAG are owned by Cartamundi - A belguim company.

Kem are celluose accetate cards - a mix of plastic & paper - thus the greater feel.

COPAG are 100% plastic and are probably the preferred card of many of the Irish casinos.

When you take into account 21% VAT, KEM is as cheap here as USA as are Copag. (Kem €24.95 for 2 decks, Copag €6.95 / deck)
