Was anyone else left all sad by the episode where the girl who annoys JD and Dr Cox dies? The one where she donates her oragns but the people die anyway?
They played How to save A Life on it and I started crying....

'Scrubs' do always do a great emotional episode..

.. though they'll never beat 'My Old Lady' (the one where
JD, Elliott, Carla and Turk all form a strong bond with a patient... and each of those patients die before the end of the episode and they play Jeff Buckley's 'Hallelujah' over a montage of them dying.
    ).

One of my personal favourite episodes simply because it got the humour and drama just right. Whereas i thought the episode you're on about (with Jill dying) was a tad too dramatic - though John C McGinley's performance in the last couple of minutes of the episode was fantastic).

    .

that was a FANTASTIC episode, especially because of the way they set it up.
on average one in three patients die

It's not bad at all, Scrubs makes me cry all the time but not because it's sad, just because it's on!!!

    I hate that show.

Just wait until one a few weeks down the line on the new series.

And sometimes the emotional stuff is a load of crap, but if I remember correctly, it was after that episode that Cox went into the depression. Right?

Another episode where they do the emotional scene brilliantly is
the one where Brendan Frasier dies and Dr Cox keeps seeing him

they do have a much better grip on drama than most sitcoms

But unfortunately lost their grip on the comedy after series 4. IMHO. It WAS a great show.

That's the best written episode of a sitcom I've ever seen. Absolute chills when the realisation kicked in.
