What's with the copperhill evangelism... all they do is gather together other peoples products. Check out http://www.cameraclean.co.uk/ for a supplier closer to home.

I like the idea of the dust aid system.

That cameraclean site looks good, they even have a beginners guide to it all.

Well ... if you buy sensor swabs for about €10 a pack of 100 and a re-useable copperhill blade and eclipse for around €20 versus sensor swabs at €30 for a pack of 5 plus solution and 10 pec pads you'd understand the evangelism ... big difference in cost there !

Here is a local site for all your cleaning needs - http://www.cameraclean.co.uk/acatalog/Kits.html

I got that Green clean from Komplett its not bad at all , you get a can of compressed air and a vacuum attachment , this sucks all the dry stuff from your sensor without actually touching it , which is brilliant.
And then if there is actually baked on crud on your sensor , then you use the wet swabs included .

Given that most places charge at least 50 euro for one clean ( and you would be without your camera for a while ) , its not bad value at all.

I have cleaned about 5 cameras so far , havnt had to use the swabs yet ( you get 3 sets ) and there are plenty more cleans left in it yet. The Vac is very strong and a short burst is all you need to suck up all the dust.
Im very happy with it , especially the fact that you dont have to touch the sensor unless its really bad , Im paranoid about touching the sensor !

    Heres a picture ,

Lol, Copperhill isn't the be all & end all, as minikin mentioned.

Just to put this in context.

I got my sensor cleaned about a year ago, Image Supply Systems, did a good job, €50.

Sent it back today and they did a good job too, €85. 70% increase in one year. Were amazed when I pointed it out.

Another reason to do it yourself and yet another Irish rip-off to be avoided.

Well ... if you want to save yourself €85 for cleaning you could just go along to the Photovision Roadshow at Croker ... but get there early ... I understand the queue for sensor cleaning gets big ...
