SnG Collusion

I was playing a SnG game this evening with a $200 and $20 reg fee on a well know poker site (I don't want to name names). Came down to the final 3 players, me and 2 others.

I played a couple of hands, counts were approx. 6000 to X, 2500 to me and 1500 to y

After a hand or 2 I noticed that player y was disconnected, player X continued to raise all in every hand, I typed in would he be willing to blind it down, that I would be ok with him taking first. No response, continued the raising, mixing his raising from all in to 360 chips (blinds were 30/60), I contested a couple of hands and won chips so the chips were about 7000, 2300 and 200, blinds 100/50.

Now all of a sudden the sitout player comes live when has 160 chips left (on BB with blind 100/50), he calls, wins (x had better hand starting), y then starts playing all of a shot and when he re-raises to x, x folds (raise would be a tiny fraction of his chips)and I am squeezed out of it, I think I had A J to bubble out of it, y had more chips than me left.

Anyone else expierance anything similar? I noticed the 2 other players being the first 2 people registered for the next $200 SnG as well btw

Sorry, I ment to add, if anyone could menton any hand that you would be willing to risk your entire stack for while on the bubble (with a player showing up as disconnected) I would gladly hear it, I think the best hand I got was A J off during the whole process

sounds like X was playing very well. He wants to keep that situation going for as long as possible so becuase it was only a fraction of his stack to call is irrelevant. If you post the hands we could maybe have a better look, sounds like you just got unlucky.

    dumb question alert

I have the XML for the entire tournament, how do I post it without exposing the other players or the site I was playing on?

    is that not collusion...

First thing I thought when I read this. You'd want to be very careful typing in something like that into a chat box as you could easily lose your prizemoney (should you win).

Also, they would be fairly stupid if they were colluding and the best plan they could come up with it is that one of them disconnects and comes back in with 160 chips. Then gets them in with the worst hand.

Don’t say things like "ill play for 2nd lets blind this guy out". This only gives the guy ammunition to start this all in fest which is good stt tactics from him. I would do the same if I was him after what you said. Folding to the disconnected players raises when he came live suggests to me that what you said above cost you the game and it looks like he wanted to bust you instead. Forget it and move on

Clareman, I'm finding it very hard to see how this can be taken as anything other than that you were offering to collude here.
There is a world of difference between just doing something, complaining in the chat about the way the bigstack is exploiting the situation to his advantage and typing

I don't see anything that would suggest collusion tbh bar what you yourself typed into the chat box. Intent to collude however is not the same as actual collusion but you should know that it is seriiously frowned upon.

Often players blind out disconnected players, as a tactic I don't admire it and personally I try to give players a chance to return in this scenario. But nonetheless many players will take this as an opportunity to win, there is nothing illegal about the tactic and lets face it there is little point in discussing moral highground when one takes the object of the game into consideration...
