guys my sky box has been acting up for a while, certian channels (sky 123, 50% of music channels) are all "no satelite signal being recieved, i tried updating the software which worked once then it happened again which makes me think it was a fluke the first time.

i live on the coast so im thinking the dish may be slightly out of alignment, now to my question, i dont want to call sky out over a couple of channels, can i re-align the dish myself? if so what do i need?

thanks for your help in advance

First step, is look at the Signal Quality meter, found in Services, 4, 6. If it's around 50% or less, most likely alignment.

However, it could also be LNB not switching properly, or receiver itself acting.

If alignment is the issue, using that signal bar, you could try adjusting SLIGHTLY to either left or right (or up or down, sometimes the L bar tilts in wind causing dish to face nearer the ground), see if signal quality improves. Bear in mind, that with each adjustment, it could take a sec or 2 for the meter on the screen to have effect.
