    Hi there ksir,

We get these kind of posts all the time, could you please officially declare if you have any ties or affiliation with said club.

    Regards,

I think there may be a temporary one during raceweek, or so the rumour goes.
there is not actually a casino there. The four aces and the corrib are the only casinos in Galway. if this place opens up for raceweek I'll be popping in and I'll let you know.
    Hopefully 1/2nl cash...

thanks Tar.Aldarion, it would be nice to have another place around. but if its only on during race week then i'd say the reg might high

It would be nice to have somewhere else yeah, but another club would not survive. Pity all galway has is 1/3pl and 1/3nl which I hate.

I heard that some of the people from pokerevents were proper opening up a casino above the eglinton fulltime. Is it definitely just for raceweek? Its a shame if it is coz theres always people playin poker downstairs on the net anyway, Im sure theyd have a good crowd to play a few afternoon sit n gos or somethin.

I know that is a rumour too, I am not quite sure ahem, that that is true ahem.
We will just have to see. Would be nice if they did.
Neo, or asianstack as I like to call you, you're pretty pants!

Ya, its located on Eglington St. I had a quick look at their website earlier and they were advertising all the usual casino games apart from poker so i'd say it's going to be a regular fulltime casino and not just for race week. Web address is www.eglington.com but it it's down at the moment

I can tell you that there is a full casino opening up in part of the Egglinton Snooker club in Galway city centre. On the poker side of things, its going to have 11 poker tables and from what I,m being told, this is going to be a classy joint. I dont really want to mention the owners as I,m sure theyll advertise it when they're ready. It opens next Friday week.

will there be sit and go tournaments, I be in there somtimes on the online poker set up they have, don't really like it because your winnings are shortened because you are paying for the internet aswell

    Details attached.

I don't think there's any secret about whose club it is. And I hope it's a great success for Fintan. I'm looking forward to going. I think it will be well run and well worth the visit. -

Mind you I think it's a bit early to be advertising it as "Ireland's Premier Card Club" LOL.

Yea its gonna be a full time casino , tournaments & cash games every night , festival of poker is starting the week before race week which is a shame but there are still €100 freezeouts on every nit during race week , loads of desktops in there as well connected to Irish Eyes so you can play online in there anytime during the day , i cant wait til it opens anyway
