Vargas had a press conference bust-up with Ross Thompson back in 2000 (and got a bloody lip as a result) but it got him extremely fired up for that fight which resulted in a one sided 4th round KO for Vargas.

As for Mayorga, I'm surprised that all his press-conferences don't end in brawls. He is an unbelievable trash talker and he has insulted fights like Trinidad, Forrest & De La Hoya unmercilessly in the past. However he did step over the line during a press conference before his fight with Cory Spinks when he said he was going to reunite Spinks with his recenly deceased mother. Sick bastard!

Anyway, I hope Fernando shuts this muppet up once and for all!

Btw Big Ears, Vargas always piles on the pounds in-between fights (à la Ricky Hatton)
