    Hi,
I was wondering about the best place to find out more about a career in finance. I have been considering different career paths and thought it might be worth exploring.

Finance is a pretty big area in itself, do you have any specific areas you want to get into/interest you?

    Why does that matter?

She's looking for a date? It's to find out what route would be best suited to the OP. Whether college first or straight into work with part time college.

Also as stated before, finance is a huge area.....do you want to be an accountant?Tax consulant? Work in an accountancy department within a company (accounts payable/receiveable)? work in credit management? funds? underwriting? actuary?.........the list goes on and on tbh.

Exactly. I have a just finished degree in Finance for example so advice for me would be different than for other people.
If he's in school, he could look at different business degrees, in college, maybe talk to a careers advisor, if older, what qualifications does he already have, etc.

Finance is huge, you could class all banks, insurance, accounting, etc under that. Think of how many roles within that you have, some very different from the others.
