    Like most other male alternative/rock/eletronica fan the only Jazz acts I have ventured into are Coltraine/Davis altough I listin to a lot of Jazz influenced acts I didnt venture outside Coltraine/Davis until recently I got an album by Noah Howard-The Black Ark and it blew me away can anyone recomend simmilar Jazz acts to this.

    While I'm not very familiar with Noah Howard's music I know he was into the avant garde side of jazz at one time. If it's this you are interested in let me know and I can give you some recommendations.

    Hession,Wilkinson and Fell --- Registered Firm

    Peter Brotzmann --- Machine Gun (a classic)

    Charles Gayle -- Chasin' the Trane

    Ivo Perelmann --- Suite for Helen F.

    Marco Eneidi --- Cherry Box


    Most of these artists have a fairly large album output. A lot of mail order sites dont stock them. I always get mine from :
