    :(
Hello, i need some advice regarding the job i am in...i started over a year and and a half ago and i was really thrown in the deep end but adopted to it quickly and gained a vast amount of experience. Everyone is down to earth and friendly and business is good so they started hiring other people to work alongside me....all good so far...

A job opening came up just before last xmas and they asked me if i would like and i said yes as it was more in line with what i done in college..so i was thrilled with this..i continued with the other job until about the end of january when the other people were able to cope on their own and i started getting a bit of training on the new job...but i was constantly being pulled back in to cover for anyone that needed help on the old job..the hr manager was constantly saying that they were looking for new staff and wil get someone real soon to help..feb passed noone came to help..march came and one of the people left..so i was more or less dragged back on the old job for sure...they kept promising me someone would come soon...still no one come may and another person left the job so i had to cover it and the new job was abandoned..

They said they would have someone in within the next two weeks...no one came...

Finally they got someone and told me I would be goin back doin my "new job" real soon once the new person was trained in..the job requires two or three people so they told me to just stick it out. they have constantly promised me over and over that good things will come and please do not leave cos in a year or so they will be bigger oportunities n the business...

I have wasted 6months trying to get experience and being completly used within a business thta only cares about money and not their employees needs..i am not bragging but only for me they would be really stuck..i feel undervalued and get very depressed when they think they can use me...

to this day i still have not got any proper training in the new job...i am still covering for the old job

does anyone have any opinion on this to lighten up my day....i have just wrote evrything down in a ball sorry if it is hard to follow:confused:

Sounds like a company I used to work for. Talk promise talk promise talk promise. Trust me it will never come - not soon anyway! If I was you I would start looking around for something more in line with what you wanna do. See anything you find through to interview stages until you have an offer and present your current job with the position your in. And even if they do offer you this fabled new role if you threaten to leave - ask yourself the question - do you really want to work for the company who made you promise after promise and indirectly forced you to look for alternative employment.....I know what I'd choose.

    Best of luck!

Was there a pay difference in your new job or was it just a new and better role?

You are losing out on experience at the moment but I'm wondering are you're losing out on extra pay as well by not transfering.

Sounds like a disorganized place and if you threaten to walk they'll be in trouble. Noone is irreplaceable but it seems they'll be fecked if you leave which is good for you

I know I'm repeating myself here but anyway: If you're not happy, leave, it doesn't get any simpler than that.
