Getting to Pula airport-Croatia

I'm planning a two week trip to Croatia with a mate, starting in Dubrovnik and working our way up to Split, and out to the islands. I was going to then fly out of Pula with Ryanair, but I was wondering if anyone has done this before? Would it be a pain getting from the islands/Split up to the airport, or would we be better off heading back to Dubrovnik and flying out of there?

    Any help appreciated.

Check out www.bahn.de and see if you can check train times/distances/frequencys.

    Forget trains in Croatia.
Split - Rijeka - Pula with 2 buses or Split - Dubrovnik with 1 bus.
Dubrovnik is probably easier as maybe there's a direct ferry from the last island you are on! Split is a bit of a dump imo.

it would make more sense to fly home from Zadar with Ryanair rather than going all the way up to Pula by bus
