My agent ordered a Sky Multiroom card for me last Tuesday. It will be posted to me. However it still hasn't arrived - does anyone know how long these normally take?

Well I can't say I'm surprised - the Irish postal service is not exactly the best in the world! Why not call Sky and confirm it's been dispatched though?

That was the Friday before I ordered. I'll give them tomorrow morning before calling. I usually have my post by 10.

No card today. Getting ticked off now. Phone calls will be made I'd say.

If you use VoIP or have other means of calling the UK cheaply, you may want to contact Sky on +441506831781 rather than using the premium rate numbers. :)

    What premium rate numbers?

Sky number, 0818 719819 is a national rate number, which would be cheaper than ringing UK.

I beg to differ. It may not be called "premium rate", but if calling an 0818 number is more expensive than dialling an Irish geographical number, it's expensive. Certain calling plans in Ireland, fixed and mobile, offer inclusive or free calls to UK landlines, so +441506831781 would be a cheaper number to dial.

Of course if you PAY for a monthly package with has "free" calls included it's cheaper. If you don't - then it's not.
Perhaps you could have suggested that people with those packages could do that.
Otherwise it's cheaper for people to call 0818 numbers (which some packages may include as national calls. Check with your service provider. Terms and conditions apply. Batteries sold separately.)

I did mate, "If you use VoIP or have other means of calling the UK cheaply"..

Jees, what's wrong with everybody on this forum? Everybody really loves getting their 2 cents worth don't they? Especially the mods. Get a grip lads. I think I'll stop "popping" up here from now on. Too many know it alls and nit-pickers for my liking. Can't stand all the anality. And yes, I made that word up, before someone starts. Bye everyone.

Sorry to start a row lads.

Well it didn't turn up today so I'll be getting on to them. Do the Irish calls go to the call center in Cork that was opened or is it still the Indian place?

Don't think there is anything wrong with people here

What I did was correct your misinformation, and asked if there was a Premium Rate number, of which I wasn't aware of.

While I understand where you're now coming from with relation to 0818 numbers, they're still not "Premium Rate". But I guess they can work out more expensive than national rate, depending on your phones price plans.

On a side note, I know of a UK website that shows the real national numbers behind their 0870 national numbers, is there one for Irish 0818 numbers?

Got onto them yesterday and luckily got a nice CS rep. They posted it Thursday so shouldn't be long now
