I bought this 65 mustang about 2 years ago and havn't done a thing with it since last week.
starting stripping it and cutting out the rust on the floors, the body is solid being a Californian car,but the window rubbers leak causing the damage to the floor.
The plan is to do the floors, respray the body, new interior, dress the engine.
The car drives well,so I'm ok there.
I'll put photos up as I go along.

    All comments,advice,help welcome:)

Hope to have it done in the next couple of months.

Wow, good luck with that, it sounds like it will be a lot of fun. Are you planning to hold on to it?

If that's all the rust it has, you're doing well.
Paint looks okay too, in the pics at least.

Those are very "European" looking rims - but I like 'em.

    Keep us posted.

Probably will keep it,at least until something else comes along:) .
Both floorpans are rusted right up to the bulkhead, but I have two new pans and toe boards to weld in.
I agree the wheels are very 80's and I had planned on changing them, but most people seem to like them and now there growing on me:rolleyes:
I'll paint the car black with 2 silver shelby style racing stripes up and over the top,so the wheels should suit.

I saw this on yesterday http://www.carzone.ie/usedcars/index.cfm?fuseaction=car&carID=702394

It looks to be an original black plate Californian car which could mean 'rust free' would be worth a look at that price.

I'm not sure why but the words 'engine rebuild' always makes me a little weary, it takes some abuse or neglect to feck up a V8.
